Future Femme Fatale. Blade Runner film noir inspired
Future Film Fatale
I saw a photo of my author friend Nikki Guerlain on Facebook and was really inspired by it. She was nice enough to allow me to work with the image. The two figures in black and white are coming out from the light tunnel from the past and into the future. The guy on the right is tracking her down. There's also a heavy Blade Runner influence with this one.

Requiem. Beautiful dead woman in cofffin. The dead girl. Living dead.
Here's the rough digital sketch for a painting I'm working on. It's going to be painted on an extremely black material that's used in laser science. It absorbs around 99.98% of light. It may not be the blackest, but it's very close. The outline of the coffin will be with glow in the dark paint and her eyes will glow as well. Should be fun.

Inferno
I've had this vision floating around my head for some time now. Satan locked away behind ethereal bars in Hell. A figure stands confidently in the foreground.

Kiss of Death. Type O Negative Love you to Death inspired art painting full moon castle Goth Metal.
Kiss of Death
24 in x 16 in
I was listening to massive amounts of Type O Negative and this painting emerged. I needed more art for an art show at the Attleboro Arts Musuem's annual member's show, so I painting this in a 9 hour marathon. 9 pm until 6 am straight. I do NOT recommend painting that long! I'm pleased with the results. It a rather Goth couple kissing under a full moon with a castle behind them looming in the distance. He seems to have got a little more than he bargained for. This is yet another painting in my Dangerous Beauty series.

Venustas Diabolus. Finished painting! Sexy devil demon horned woman Wicca Witchcraft occult
Venustas Diabolus
Oil on holographic poster board
20 in x 30
I had a vision of a beautiful horned woman of immense power. I thought it would be interesting to take the Wiccan deities The Goddess and the Great Horned God of the Hunt and merge them into one being. That's not done in that tradition and they are generally separated. Personally, I like how the two are separated. It's more natural that way. Blessed be.

I drink wine out of a crystal skull when I paint sexy demon ladies
To get myself in the spirit of this painting I wanted to loosen up in an appropriate way.
Don't try this at home. Beware. Make sure that the glass skull is lead free.

Venustas Diabolus
work in progress
Here face is almost done. I'm fairly pleased with the progress for a change. I applied the paint to thinly at parts, so I'll have to paint over parts when it dries. The pencil sketch is coming through at parts, so I'll fix that ASAP.

Venustas Diabolus - Painting work in progress
First, I get a sketch of the figure and general shapes on the surface. Got to love the
holographic poster board. It really grabs your eye.
"Believe it or not, I can actually draw." - Jean-Michel Basquiat
I've penciled in her face and will begin painting the details soon. She looks like she's got some meat on her bones now. More curvy, yet attractive.
Here's the digital image I'm working from. Pretty lady, huh? Too bad she'll devour your soul!

After Eternity
Acrylic on holographic poster board
20 in x 30 in
I had this vision of a couple holding hands flying through a cathedral in space. naturally, I had to paint it on a holographic poster board. I first covered the whole thing black, then scraped off the areas where the stars were revealing the glittering holograph underneath. It's a beautiful effect.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Finished painting. I don't paint happy trees.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
oil on canvas
40 in x 24 in
I'm very pleased t say that the Four Horsemen have arrived! I finally finished the Four Horsemen painting. It took me several months to complete it, but I am quite pleased with the results. Your first impression may note the perceived grim subject. Upon further inspection, however, you may notice that the Death Horseman's scythe forms a head. There's a face in the clouds in there. The sun has a cloud in the form of a hand supporting it, like a mother holding her child. Apocalypse is Greek for "Revelation" or an uncovering of knowledge. It has very little to do with an ending. I like to have my art open to interpretation.

I so tired of winter here in Massachusetts. It's snowing all the time and it's late February. Enough already! I guess this image is me expressing my frustration with winter. Those are Vikings about to kick some dragon ass. They already took care of the Frost Giant!

New Years resolutions 2014. NO GUTS, NO GLORY!
I actually achieved all of the things on my resolutions list for 2013, so to continue with this trend, here's my list for 2014. The key I've learned is to keep it short and make them things that are within your immediate reach. People, especially Americans want total innovation NOW. They want to lose 150 pounds fast. It can happen, but it's just rare if it ever is done. Look, I am not an expert on weight loss, but I can tell you from my painting experience that I did NOT make a 10 ft x 7 ft oil on canvas painting overnight. It took a long time. I did that by working in bite size chunks. One day finish the clouds, the next day finish the grass, and so on. Things I KNEW I could easily actually achieve. This methodology is called Kaizen and I highly encourage you to read up on it if you aren't familiar. So here are my resolutions for 2014:
1.) Start Grad School.
2.) Make the multi-media art I have planned.
3.) Start a band.
Success is imminent.

Hyperspace Magick finished and on exhibit at the Attleboro Arts Museum. Holographic poster board painting.
Hyperspace Magick
On display at the Attleboro Arts Museum. As planned, it was quite the attention getter.
Cat dragons holding a sorceress painted on a holographic poster board will do that.
Cropped image. Really proud of this one. A real turning point for me as an artist.
It is the first of what I call Next Level art. Art that's
100% unique. I like to say that you're either 100% unique or 100% invisible.

Hyperspace Magick. Cat Dragon and Soledad Miranda art.
Here's a rough digital sketch of a painting I'm working on. I had the idea of a Cat Dragon and had to do something with it. It's huge and it's got a sorceress on it. Possibly it's master. Not sure really I just go with the ideas as presented. The sorceress is the legendary actress Soledad Miranda. The background will not be white. The surface I'm painting on is very psychedelic and will be left bare to exploit it's vibrant colors.
